Safe Place analyse

As Media Studies Analysis
The story we were trying to tell was that the two main characters were two amateur photographers and have heard about this strange paranormal killer around the school they didn't believe that this was true a thought it was a student playing a prank and tried to get a picture of the mystery that would make them rich and there doubts doubt them as they run into this school ghoul and meet there doom.

The first scene is a long shot of the two school photographers walking down a corridor towards a stair case we chose this shot because it gives a good view of where the characters are the environment they are in and to show how tight the corridors are and gives the audience a sense of what possibilities could happen later and keeps them guessing which will make them want to continue to watch.

The second scene is the armature photographers walking down the stairs to the lower level of the complex, here we use a match on action shot so it seems as though the two actors are walking down the stairs in one continuous shot, we use the same technique when the two actors go around the corner below the stairs.

The third scene is the photographers picking a spot and taking there picture here we used medium and close up shots to gut up and personal with the actors to see there facial expressions as they spot the disturbing image they caught on their camera.

The fourth scene is a POV in which we see the perspective of both the actors and hear their fear as they run into the killer, we use a POV here to give a sense of their fear and struggle as they try to escape the killer they just heard about, it is like it puts the audience in the drivers seat of the film.

The aim of this film was to put the audience in the shoes of the photographers as they run from the killer and also to make you feel the fear that they felt.
